The Working Title Films production is directed by Josie Rourke who's making her feature film directorial debut with Mary, Queen of Scots.
Filming has begun on the Working Titles flick which follows the life of Mary Queen of Scots as set out in "My Heart Is My Own: The life of Mary Queen of Scots", a biography by John Guy. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Debra Hayward are on board as producers.
The Brooklyn star is the latest in a long line of actors who've played the hapless queen, from Vanessa Redgrave in 1971 to Samantha Morton and Harry Potter's Clemence Poesy more recently.
SC orders Karti to appear before CBI on August 23
On August 4, the CBI issued a lookout notice against Karti, to not leave India and inform concerned agencies before doing so. Karti, before the apex court, alleged that he was being harassed in order to target his father.
Dunkirk's Jack Lowden, Martin Compston, Joe Alwyn and Downton Abbey's Brendan Coyle have also been cast in the forthcoming film. Hanna and Atonement actress Ronan will be playing the title role with Robbie co-starring as Elizabeth I, although Tennant's role in the epic has yet to be announced.
The story is set during the 16th Century when Mary Stuart became Queen of France at 16, was widowed two years later, and returned to her native Scotland to reclaim her throne - while Scotland and England fall under the rule of Elizabeth I.
Mary, Queen of Scots is expected to be out in 2018.
