Nick and Vanessa add that this breakup was not an easy decision, but they say they still have a lot of love and admiration for one another and will continue to be there for one another.
But it's possible the relationship was over a while ago.
Nick even admitted on The Bachelor that the combination of their personalities could be a match made in heaven or a total disaster because they'd butt heads frequently.
"Nick and Vanessa have wanted to end this for a while now but was trying to figure out the right timing", a source told E!
