In March, Renault launched Dacia MCV Stepway, a new multi convivial vehicle (MCV) model.
We spoke today with Renault Australia managing director Justin Hocevar, who told us this new version still wasn't on the cards.
We haven't seen pics of the cabin yet, but Dacia promises a "completely redesigned, quality-feel interior and new equipment".
The auto now sports a broader front grille and wider headlights, and the rear lights have been moved to the corners.
Patrick Vieira: 'Current Arsenal players are better than my generation'
"The team in our generation were more physical but this generation are better football players, there's no doubt about that". Despite Vieira's successful years at Arsenal , he believes that the players at Wenger's disposal now are of better quality.
It also comes with a new lighting configuration including LED daytime running lights divided into three sections. The rugged looking model has been given a rather sleek and contemporary look at the front and rear end.
At the sides, the new Duster's beltline has been moved higher while the windscreen is raked forward by 100 mm over the outgoing model in a bid to make the cabin look more spacious. There are new aluminium roof bars, 17-inch wheels and prominent wheel arches. Shown in a new striking Atacama Orange shade, the 2018 Duster builds upon the robust yet modern looks of the model before it, but with some effective changes here and there. Out of the total number of Dacia cars sold in the first six months of 2017, 310,141 were passenger vehicles, while the remainder were commercial vehicles.
Therefore the redesign concentrates on improving an already successful product. While an extended wheelbase version has been ruled out, a version with an extra row would be an interesting addition for markets like ours. Mechanically, the 2018 Duster retains the same underpinnings including the 1.5-litre diesel and several petrol engine options. We will bring you all the latest, including photos of that revised interior, as we head towards that date. Needless to say, the new Duster will be making it to India but a timeline on the launch is uncertain. However, the 2018 Duster doesn't look all that different in profile.
