A woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her former boyfriend in California last week was found safe in Nevada Monday night, while the suspected kidnapper - who authorities say is risky and may be armed - remains on the run. Paris told investigators that Hetzel may have been on his way to Utah. Hetzel has previously served time in prison for possession of items used to make explosive devices, using explosive devices with the intent to terrorize, felony vandalism and criminal threats, sheriff's official said.
The two were first spotted Sunday morning at a Starbucks at McDowell and Litchfield roads in Goodyear. The woman had recently been granted a restraining order against Hetzel but it had not yet been served when she was kidnapped, authorities said.
