The cabin features the high-resolution display and touchscreen of the Porsche Advanced Cockpit, a BOSE Surround Sound System with 710 watts, 18-way adjustable sports seats at the front with integrated headrests, as well as a heated steering wheel in an exclusive Turbo design. The new eight-speed Tiptronic S converts both into acceleration and speed by means of the active all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM). That's about 0.1 seconds quicker than the previous Cayenne Turbo S. The top speed is rated at 286 kmph on the model. As is characteristic for new engine generations, the exhaust turbochargers are arranged inside the cylinder V, in the "central turbo layout". Another advantage is the compact construction of the engine.
The Cayenne is becoming an ever-closer cousin to the 911 sports vehicle, and that is even more the case with the Cayenne Turbo, whose enhanced performance capabilities are based in part on a new, more-lightweight chassis as well as on innovative technologies like active aerodynamics (including, for the first time ever on an SUV, an adaptive rear spoiler), three-chamber air suspension, different-sized tires (285/40 front and 315/35 rear) and new high-performance brakes, not to mention available rear-axle steering. In particular, the combination of the new three-chamber air suspension with the active shock-absorber system PASM extends the range considerably. It provides six different levels of ride height. They are also actively controlled via five new driving programs for road journeys and off-road journeys.
North Korea urges nuclear build-up on anniversary
Beijing says the system's powerful radars will be able to monitor flights and missile launches deep inside north-eastern China. The US and South Korea should "immediately stop the deployment process and withdraw relevant equipment", Geng said.
The new Cayenne Turbo takes everything the recently-unveiled, third-generation Cayenne has to offer and dials it up a notch.
A new Porsche Surface Coated Brake process covers the Cayenne Turbo's cast-iron brake rotors with a layer of tungsten carbide to increase performance and resistance to wear, all while reducing brake dust. The spoiler is completely functional; it increases downforce on the rear axle and also functions as an air brake to shorten braking distances. As a result, if you brake hard from 155mph, you'll stop anything up to two metres sooner. As always with Porsche, carbon ceramic brakes are available as an option. USA deliveries are expected in fall 2018 (which is why it will be sold as a 2019 model), with prices starting at $124,600 plus a $1,050 processing and delivery fee.
