This new accessory from Amazon connects the Echo devices to the landline phones. According to a report from The Verge, YouTube is no longer available on Amazon's smart home, touchscreen-toting speaker (or as we like to call such devices, computer).
Amazon has today (September 26) added the Alexa voice control system to the Amazon Music app on iOS and Android in the UK, US, Germany and Austria.
It's a sad day for anyone who enjoys watching cooking videos, daily vlogs, or haul videos on YouTube on Amazon's Echo Show.
While Amazon looks like they are playing the victim card here, Google's statement shows us the other side of the story: Amazon's implementation of YouTube on the Echo Show violates our terms of service, creating a broken user experience. For $80, Amazon says it will throw in an Echo Dot, a puck-sized version of its Echo smart speaker.
While the Echo Show could play videos from YouTube, it did not provide all of YouTube's functions such as the ability to subscribe to channels or serve up video recommendations.

Amnesty International recently said that the new videos taken from the state show smoke rising from Rohingya Muslim Villages. The Government of India is calling Rohingya refugees a security threat, and seeking to deport them.
A representative of Amazon said that there are a number of measures which customers can put in place to prevent the misuse of the Echo speaker and Alexa.
Voice activated online shopping is something that Amazon has been pioneering, although it is just one of its many technological experiments to have hit the market in recent years. A message pops up, stating this: "Currently, Google is not supporting YouTube on Echo Show". That Google had warned Amazon about them violating its terms of service. "If I was talking to someone, I wouldn't say, 'Have you heard "Up All Night" by Beck?' I'd say, 'Have you heard the new Beck song?'" Samsung has also stepped into the voice assistant fray with Bixby built into its latest handsets.
For now, Google is saying it hopes to reach an agreement with Amazon to resolve the issues soon.
The screen meant the YouTube app was a natural fit and, up until this week, Echo Show users could follow recipes or watch music videos on the app.
