Tom Brady was already the winningest quarterback in National Football League history.
The Patriots and Jets are tied at halftime, 14-all, but you could be forgiven for thinking that someone forgot to tell the Patriots that they were playing for the division lead in the AFC East. The win was the 187th regular-season win for Brady, who has 212 total victories, including the playoffs.
The officials disagreed following a review of the play, and the reversal of the call left many baffled and angry. McCown finished 31 of 47 for 354 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The play was overturned when the officials determined Seferian-Jenkins lost control of the ball before he crossed the goal line and didn't recover possession until he was out of bounds in the end zone.
"I wish we'd have done better", Brady said.
Tom Brady's record-setting victory was hardly smooth and easy.

He also said Ophelia has reached the location farthest east in the Atlantic to register a Category 3 storm. Parts of the United Kingdom could also feel the effects of the winds early next week.
It's an issue that could plague the Patriots later in the season when there's more on the line, particularly in the postseason, so it'll be up to McCourty and the secondary to right the ship in the coming weeks. In the receiving end, Jeremy Kerley posted 39 yards in four receptions while Jearmaine Kearse added 38 yards and a touchdown in four catches. Kony Ealy has proven to be one of the few bad examples of the Patriots cutting a good player and he is going to be fired to prove it to them today.
With New York pushing for points late in the first half, and on the cusp of field goal range, Butler exploded in front of the targeted receiver and snagged his second interception of the season.
And that's how the Jets took a 14-0 lead over the Patriots in the first half. They went 75 yards on eight plays for the score.
The Patriots have won six of the last seven meetings with the Jets and 11 of the last 13.
