The president (left) placed blame on Jared Kushner (right) for Trump's decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, which resulted in the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
On Monday, the special counsel investigation entered a new phase when Mueller's team issued its first indictments, targeting former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort for tax fraud and money laundering. Trump is frustrated that the investigation seems to have no end in sight, and his anger focuses on Kushner, who is also a senior White House advisor. There were also claims that the officials in Trump's campaign team, including Michael Flynn, Security Adviser, behaved out of order by maintaining alleged connections with officials from Russian Federation.
A 36-year-old Harvard graduate, Kushner is the oldest son of real-estate developer Charles Kushner, and he is married to Trump's daughter Ivanka.
According to two sources, Trump has complained to advisers about his legal team for letting the Mueller probe progress this far.
When Trump spoke this week to Roger Stone, the longtime GOP political strategist who urged the president to run, the president didn't disagree when Stone told him Kushner had given him bad advice. Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg has also gone on the offensive against Kusher.
Deshaun Watson Tears ACL In Practice
Watson was the only quarterback with a passer rating above 100.0 in all of his four games in October. The NFL named Watson the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month and AFC Offensive Player of the Month.
"Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history", Nunberg said.
The report, citing sources "briefed on Trump's thinking", said Trump confided in Stephen Bannon, that he no longer trusts Kushner. "I'm only saying publicly what everyone says behind the scenes at Fox News, in conservative media, and the Senate and Congress".
The President and his associates have denied any conspiring acts and no solid evidence has come out of Mueller's close investigation and numerous congressional inquiries of illegal connections with powerful Russians. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday put Mr. Trump's approval rating at 38 percent - the lowest for the survey since February, when he was a month into his presidency. Comey had been overseeing the Russian Federation investigation at the FBI, leading to questions about whether Trump attempted to obstruct justice by firing him.
As it turns out, the couple aren't well liked in Washington D.C., according to a Vanity Fair report from August that illuminated the extent to which people in their adopted hometown and in the White House view them as a feared and vindictive duo who are essentially powerless but who clueless about that reality.
