Hulu is a joint venture between Disney, 21 Century Fox, Comcast and Time Warner with a basic service that includes TV series, movies, original content and other programming with limited or no commercials.
The partnership also enables Hulu, whose service is mainly geared toward younger audiences, to reach Sprint's broader customer base of families as well as share in subscriber revenue, the companies said. "We're excited to provide Sprint customers the best in entertainment through our unique partnership with Hulu".
Sprint's current unlimited plan, dubbed "Unlimited Freedom", costs $60 per month for one line or $100 per month for up to five lines for new subscribers until January 31, 2019. As for tablets, users can stream Hulu content via a Sprint Hot Spot or by subscribing to a separate unlimited data plan for tablets.
Sprint now offers four lines of Unlimited Freedom at $25/line, with a 5th line free, bringing its five-line total to $100/month. The wireless carrier now is running a promo offering unlimited talk, text and data for $25 per month per line, with the fifth line free when you add five lines, with the special pricing applicable through January 2019.
