LaVar Ball recently slammed President Donald Trump after the latter touted his role in the release of LiAngelo Ball, LaVar's son, and two other UCLA basketball students who were arrested for shoplifting in China.
The president accused LaVar Ball, the father of one of the players, of being "unaccepting" of Trump's personal intervention in the matter. In response, Trump slammed Ball for being ungrateful and actually said, "I should have left them in jail".
"What was he over there for? Don't tell me nothing", Ball told ESPN on Friday. "Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out", he continued.

"Who?" he said. "What was he over there for?" Trump had said he personally asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to intervene in the case. "Be careful, there are many pitfalls on the long and winding road of life!"
