Some areas of the state will reach the 70s with mostly sunny skies. Then, partly cloudy skies. This cold front will bring rain to us Wednesday and Thursday with much cooler temperatures by the end of the week.
Temperatures will soar back into the lower 70s on Monday before a strong cold front marches through the Mid-South. A pattern chance in the upper-level winds will lead to a continuation of temperature near normal to slightly below normal for the first week of November. We'll continue with dry weather on Sunday. Highs won't be quite as warm as today, but you'll still have another shot to put up those lights as highs top out in the upper 40s.
Today (Sunday): Clouds linger through the morning hours, and a few showers aren't out of the question early on, as some upper-level energy clears the area. Small rain chance. Highs in the low 50s. A few breaks in the clouds will allow for some sunshine to break through by the afternoon. Winds will be out of the west southwest at 5 miles per hour. Clearing skies behind the front will give way to dry conditions and clear skies with overnight lows in the 50s.
Southeast wind at 5 miles per hour.
