The social media giant has catered this wish of its users as Facebook Now Allows You to Live Stream While Playing Games. Naturally, you'll still be able to use Facebook's amusing video filters, because what is social media for if not playing word games while you look like a cat?
To begin recording, press the "Start Live Video" button. Messenger has 70 games available globally.
Facebook has also announced Messenger's video chat feature will come to Instant Games early next year.
Once the broadcast ends, the video will be uploaded to either your Page or Profile depending on where you streamed to.
"The new live streaming capability via Facebook Live makes it simple for people to play and share their experiences with those who love games on Messenger", notes Facebook.
After releasing it to beta users last November, Facebook announced it had rolled the feature out to Messenger users worldwide in May.
Google pulling YouTube from Echo Show and Fire TV
While Amazon and Apple seem to be getting along, numerous same complaints Google made against Amazon hold true for Apple as well. One of the primary reasons to own an Echo Show is the ability to watch YouTube videos on the gadget's pint-sized screen.
Besides the live streaming feature, people will also be able to video chat while playing a game.
"To use Instant Games" new live stream feature, tap on the camera icon at the top right of the screen while playing (left). Just like any post the video can be deleted at any time.
The livestreaming started rolling out this week, while the video chat feature will be introduced early next year. However, in Facebook's case, the addition is more casual - it's more about sharing with friends, not monetizing a community through subscriptions, game sales, or custom chat icons, as you'd find on Twitch or YouTube, for example.
Over the next few weeks and months, Facebook is adding more titles to Instant Games, which will join original games, like Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Words With Friends Frenzy. The feature will initially debut next year in Zynga's Words with Friends, before expanding to other titles.
We're so glad that people are embracing the incredible experiences game developers are building for Instant Games.
It will soon add other big names, like Angry Birds (built by CoolGames, who also built Tetris); Sonic Jump from SEGA; Disney Tsum Tsum, published by LINE; and a new game from Puzzle & Dragons maker, GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc.
'The introduction of games provides a great way to connect with your friends all over the world, aside of normal messaging, ' a Facebook spokesperson told DailyMail.com in May.
