Diggers are seen near the area where the Israeli forces said a "significant" cross-border attack tunnel from the Gaza Strip, which was being dug by the enclave's dominant Islamist group, Hamas, was destroyed, near Israel's border with the Gaza Strip December 10, 2017.
Monday's strikes came a day after Israel said it destroyed a tunnel built by Hamas that ran several hundred meters into Israeli territory.
He did not elaborate on how Israel knew Hamas was responsible for the tunnel, which he said reached to within 1km (0.6 miles) of the nearest Israeli civilian community.
Conricus said a new system involving combat units, military intelligence, logistics and research had been used to destroy the tunnel.
"I advise any group who wants to threaten Israel to think twice", he said.
Did Houston Texans let Tom Savage re-enter game with concussion?
Yates, who led the Texans to their first-ever playoff win and went 2- 0 as a starter here in 2015, went 14 of 26 for 175 yards. Yates provided a spark initially, leading touchdown drives on each of his first two series, both on throws to DeAndre Hopkins.
Hamas did not respond to a CNN request for comment on Israel's claim.
Conricus described the tunnel as "very substantial", adding that it had communication systems, air vents, electricity and reinforced concrete structure.
A network of Gaza tunnels allowed Hamas gunmen to blindside Israel's superior forces during the 2014 war and the Israelis, with U.S. help, have since stepped up work on counter-measures. "I hope that in the coming months the threat of tunnels on the residents surrounding Gaza will become a thing of the past", he said.
Tensions have steadily risen between Israel and Gaza since last week, when Trump announced recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, setting off protests along the border, among other places, and a call by Gaza's Hamas rulers for a new intifada. Palestinians were infuriated by the president's declaration last week, because they seek east Jerusalem as the capital of their future state. It was the first rocket fire since Friday evening, which triggered repeated Israeli strikes throughout that night and into Saturday in which two members of Hamas's military wing were killed.
According to the press release, in response to rocket attacks on Israeli territory, a tank and air force aircraft attacked Hamas military posts in the northern Gaza Strip.
