Fresh off his Georgia team dropping a heartbreaker to Alabama in the National Championship Game, former Bulldogs starting quarterback Jacob Eason is reportedly transferring to Washington.
Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason announced the expected on Friday: He's leaving the Bulldogs.
With Eason gone, Georgia will have two quarterbacks on scholarship for the 2018 season with Fromm and freshman Justin Fields, who enrolled early with the program. An SEC title and a spot in the College Football Playoff later, Fromm looks entrenched as the Bulldogs' starting quarterback for at least the next couple years.
Congresswomen Will Wear Black to President Trump's State of the Union Address
There could be some awkwardness for the women in Trump's family. The White House has maintained that the women are lying. December 12, 2017 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
As a true freshman, Eason started the final 12 games of the 2016 season after replacing Greyson Lambert in the opener. His presence certainly wouldn't affect Eason negatively, though, as the latter will be subject to transfer rules that state a player must sit out a full season unless granted a special waiver by the NCAA. But Eason can't be blamed after seeing Fromm's success as a freshman, and he could certainly find a clear opportunity to start elsewhere.
Eason attended nearby Lake Stevens High School. "The memories and relationships I have made will truly last a lifetime", Eason posted on his account. "I will miss suiting up in red and black, but Athens will always be a place I can call home". Patterson doesn't know yet if he'll be eligible for the 20118 season, and even if he is, he'll have to compete with Brandon Peters, a 4-star quarterback in that same 2016 class, and 2017 4-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey. He passed for 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns with just eight interceptions as a true freshman and completed 55 percent of his throws.
I think we all knew it would come to this. If he struggles, I'm going to help him.
