The first is going to be a second-generation version of the iPhone X, with the identical 5.8-inch OLED display, while the second an "iPhone X Plus" will appear with a larger 6.5 inch OLED display. That's another instance where Apple introduced three new phones, but ended up staggering the iPhone X's debut. Additionally both the iPhone X Plus and the 5.6 inch model will have 4GB of RAM, more than the 2017 iPhone X which only has 3GB.
An all-new 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD display is rumoured to be produced by the company this year.
While sales of the iPhone X have been strong in the USA, the device has reportedly failed to catch on as much globally.
Last week we learned that the iPhone X could have a surprisingly short shelf life, with analysts predicting that Apple will replace the phone entirely towards the end of this year, rather than continuing to manufacture and sell units at a lower cost when the new iPhone line-up hits shelves. The combined impact on suppliers that make the components for the iPhone X will run supposedly reach into the billions of dollars.
Gunmen attack Kabul military academy
The explosive device was planted in an ambulance and went off at a police checkpoint in a Taliban-claimed attack. Gunmen launched a pre-dawn attack on a military academy in Kabul on Monday, Afghanistan's TOLO New has reported.

Apple didn't respond to a request for comment on Monday. But RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani believes Apple's reported iPhone sales during the past quarter will be higher than anticipated and the projections for the current quarter won't be as lacklustre as many people fear. The 2018 iPhone X will come with a 2800mAh battery, versus the 2715mAh from previous year.
But Apple likely performed strongly in the October-December quarter, given that the iPhone X did not launch until November. The most-affordable version of the flagship starts at $999 in United States, while in other markets it is considerably more expensive even when accounting for the difference in taxes. Some even expect the company to have outperformed forecasts.
