"More revelations today from the text message chain between FBI Agent Peter Strzok and his then-lover, FBI Attorney Lisa page", Fox News' John Roberts reported at 11:03 a.m. ET. Some conservatives also believe the effort to depose Trump continues within special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, which, among other things, looks into possible collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign.
As president, Obama had said in an April 2016 interview on "Fox News Sunday" that he could "guarantee" that his administration would not interfere with the FBI investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server to conduct government business while secretary of state during Obama's first term. "Now I need to fix it and finish it".
Obama once declared: "I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations".
Some of Strzok and Page's texts have drawn concern over what looks like more than general anti-Trump sentiment.
Among the newly disclosed texts, Strzok also calls Virginians who voted against then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe's wife for a state Senate seat "ignorant hillbillys". "Sending team up tomorrow to review. this will never end", Strzok told Page on September 28, 2016.
It is unclear what "OUR task" referred to, but Jordan suggested it could be related to a text Strzok sent in August alluding to an "insurance policy" in case Trump won the presidency. Page called Trump a 'loathsome human, ' before writing 'I cannot [sic] believe Donald Trump is likely to be an actual, serious candidate for president.' Strzok called Trump 'an idiot' and opined Clinton 'should win 100,000,000 - 0.' Strzok and Page also used expletives to describe Trump.
Spider with a whippy tail found in preserved amber
The species is being called Chimerarachne , a riff on Chimera , a fire-breathing hybrid creature found in Greek mythology. Luckily for everyone who hates spiders, these new animals were not very big according to the researchers.
Johnson, however, appears to have been taken for a ride once again after touting the existence of an Federal Bureau of Investigation "secret society" mentioned in another single text between Page and Strzok that ended up being a reference to gag gift calendars full of "beefcake" photos of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Texts from Strzok are labeled "OUTBOX", while texts from Page are labeled "INBOX".
Over the course of their two-year extramarital affair, Strzok and Page exchanged some 50,000 text messages.
A source close to the FBI agent confirmed to The Daily Caller last month that Strzok indeed believed that he had not seen any strong evidence of collusion up to that point in the investigation. "I can protect our country at many levels, not sure if that helps", Strzok replied to Page.
So, just chronologically, Senator Johnson's claim - which is being parroted by Fox News, Drudge, and a slew of far right wing media outlets - is false.
But of the text messages that just came to light, one in particular paints a very different picture. He also wanted Clinton to defeat Trump in the election - in another message, he wrote: "God Hillary should win 100,000,000 - 0".
