As the following article reports, Amazon's Visa credit card from Chase, will receive a 5% cash back for Prime members and 3% from everyone else on Whole Food purchases.
So taken as a whole, Amazon now offers 5 percent back on Whole Foods and Amazon purchases, 2 percent back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, and 1 percent back on all other purchases.
Also published on Medium. If you regularly shop at Whole Foods anyway, this could turn out to be a significant amount of cash back to spend on other Amazon purchases. The retailer already has the same offer for cash back rewards to cardholders who purchase items on their website.
It seems one group who aren't pleased about Amazon's takeover is the Whole Food employees themselves.
