A Wrinkle in Time is set for release on March 9th in the United States and on March 23rd in the UK and features a cast that includes Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zach Galifianakis, Levi Miller, Andre Holland and Deric McCabe. Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time are both sending shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. However, given the success of Black Panther and numerous studio's other movies over the past year, even if A Wrinkle in Time doesn't meet financial expectations, it won't be a major loss for the studio.

As far as other specialty releases, IFC Films' The Death of Stalin, directed by Veep creator Armando Ianucci and starring Steve Buscemi and Jeffrey Tambor, took in $181k in four theaters in NY and L.A., an impressive $45k per theater. Despite playing on 2,402 screens, Rob Cohen's 'The Hurricane Heist' was rained out with a weak $3.1 million debut ($1,311 per screen).
Sony Pictures Classics released the Helen Mirren-Donald Sutherland road comedy The Leisure Seeker into 28 theaters in select cities where it grossed just $119k or around $4,270 per theater, which doesn't bode well for much further expansion.
