Tied for 33rd among the nation's best schools offering a master's in fine art, among universities offering graduate-level studies in fine art. RIT ranked fourth among schools for the fine arts specialty of photography.
U.S. News & World Report ranked eight University of Dayton programs among the top in the nation in its latest guide on "The Best Graduate Schools".
Top-50 graduate programs at UF among all programs in the nation, both public and private, include the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at No. 43, and the Levin College of Law, which remains ranked at No. 41. Beyond the six major disciplines ranked annually, U.S. News also periodically ranks programs in science, social sciences and humanities, health and many other areas based exclusively on academic experts' ratings. "Our graduate and professional programs provide students with the rigor and experiential opportunities they require to excel in their careers".
Lehigh University's Rossin College of Engineering ranked 61st out of 199 schools participating in the survey. The law school's clinical training program is now ranked No. 8, an increase of five points from a year ago. In the law specialties rankings, Baylor's trial advocacy program remains one of the top five programs in the nation.
"We did well", Antman says, given this expanded metric. "Most importantly, we continue to be very proud of our 'Nole Nurses who strive to make a difference every day in the lives of others". Sargent College's occupational therapy program ranked number 1 in the country. "We find part-time students enter our MBA program with substantial and varied work experiences that enrich classroom discussions and add to our faculty's rigorous instruction".
Petersen, founding dean of the College of Education, said this jump in rankings is due to the hard work and dedication of faculty and staff in the college.

U.S. News did not newly rank graduate health disciplines this year, with the exception of Social Work graduate programs in the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, which were ranked at No. 68 this year. That's a leap of 14 and 20 places respectively from last year's list.
The College of Social Work is now ranked 25th. "Social work is a growing profession nationally and it is becoming an established discipline".
