After two years of waiting, its acclaimed sci-fi series Westworld will finally return for a second season. "Never, never.'" HBO does not comment on contract negotiations, but reports had it that actors Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris were the highest-paid cast members in Season 1.
In an interview with the Wrap, Wood said she did not earn very much for "Westworld" Season 1 and 2, or at least, not as much as her the leading male costars.
If you've seen the first season of Westworld, then you are no stranger to the nudity that is a big part of it. Showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are aware of this and strive to keep a balance between the female and male nudity-so as not to outweigh one over the other.
"It's amazing": The 45-year-old Brit, who plays host Maeve on the hit HBO series, said the pay hike "shatters so much calcified pain, resentment, frustration. And I nearly got emotional", Wood said.

Chelsea's ever-present Marcos Alonso sealed his place at the left-back position making him the only name from the Blues. Despite Pep Guardiola's team's dominance of the league, there are more star-studded names throughout the squad.
The conversation around equal pay has been a hot button issue in the entertainment world.
Still, it's good to know that we'll get to have even more time each week watching classic Westworld scenes of exciting cowboy action, followed by the traditional lengthy discussions about the meaning of life told through Chinese fables, followed by several flashbacks that may or may not be in reverse-sequential order. "[In] Westworld, I get it a little more. We're getting better about it but the misconception that if it's female-driven, you're gonna alienate people".
In April, HBO executive Casey Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter that the network took a cold, hard look at gender pay gaps on its shows and "made sure that there were no inappropriate disparities in pay".
'If you work 16 hours and you're a woman, it's the same 16 hours that you work if you're a man. Bloys said that if any were discovered, the company "corrected them going forward". So it just all makes sense to me. The star will be making as much as her male counterparts, Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins.
