"The hand off, which occurred well over a year ago, was peaceful, cooperative and cordial", a representative for Garten, who Bornstein claims helped "raid" his office, said in a statement to the Daily News. "When he says that, I feel like Bornstein just prescribed me Viagra".
The December 2015 evaluation written by then-candidate Donald Trump's longtime physician, Dr. Harold Bornstien, which found Trump to be in remarkable health, was written by the patient, according to the doctor.
The White House and a separate source familiar with the handover of Trump's medical records disputed Bornstein's description of the incident.
However, the doctor said it felt "like a raid" and the episode left him feeling "raped, frightened and sad". The medic offered a more sedate assessment of Mr Trump's health the following September, claiming he had been 'rushed for time'.

Now, as Bornstein re-enters the spotlight claiming Trump's ex-bodyguard Keith Schiller robbed his office when Schiller retrieved Trump's medical records, the story behind the letter is becoming clearer.
Dr Bornstein had privately told several associates that he had been the target of a raid during which handwritten records and printed laboratory results were seized, but he had declined to answer questions publicly about the episode until this week.
"Let's take ourselves back in history-when we were first introduced to this guy we thought he was a wackadoo", she said. A spokeswoman for the Trump Organization did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday. He recalled that he and his wife were driving across Central Park when Trump called him.
Whether the records' release violated laws or medical ethics depends on what exactly happened - including whether the doctor surrendered the originals and didn't retain a copy, and whether Trump had authorized the release to the three who took them, experts say.
