Gas prices have gone up slightly in northern New England.
Average retail gasoline prices in Modesto have risen 5.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.47/gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 201 gas outlets in Modesto.
Nationwide, gas prices have been steadily climbing toward the $3 a gallon mark, and it's not gone unnoticed. Gas prices have gone up 9.8 cents from last month's average and have increased 48.3 cents from last year's average.
Prices in the Lehigh Valley sit higher at an average of $2.99 a gallon.
