Nelson, Rodgers' favourite target for nigh on a decade, was allowed to leave Green Bay in free agency and Bryant's skillset does actually mirror the former Packer's to some extent. Over a month has passed since then, yet Bryant still hasn't found a new home. That has Dallas bringing in more kickers to compete for the job this offseason, and if Bailey is unable to find his reliable form again, the Cowboys may be willing to part with their long-time kicker.
Bryant remains a free agent after receiving initial interest from a number of teams, including the Packers and Ravens.
One story in particular surfaced on Tuesday, when Ryan discussed how WR Dez Bryant "punked" a first-year defender so badly his career was ruined. However, not long after Witten's opinion surfaced, the potential pairing was downplayed with the Packers reportedly not expected to sign Bryant, via Pro Football Talk.
"I think Dez is certainly going to have some great opportunities", Witten said.
Arizona softball to host regional
James Madison (42-12) will play OH (38-15) at 3 p.m.in the first game of the NCAA Tournament Regional in Knoxville. The Sooners beat Arkansas in their home regional last season and swept the Cowgirls in three games this year.
The former Dallas Cowboys tight end predicted former teammate and now unemployed receiver Dez Bryant would sign with the Packers, calling Green Bay a "great fit" for the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches, but the team isn't expected to pursue him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. "I look for him to go there".
" ... (Packers quarterback) Aaron Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well and Dez has great chemistry with a good quarterback that can put the ball wherever he wants". I still believe Dez can high-point the football as good as any other wide receiver in the National Football League.
Witten named one other team as a fit for Bryant: the New Orleans Saints.
Despite his connection with Bryant, however, Witten said he does not have any inside knowledge about which teams are pursuing Bryant.
