The Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and other parties of the Left Front also staged a protest outside State Election Commission in Kolkata against the incidents of violence.
According to reports, activists of TMC have allegedly indulged in stamping ballot papers even on results day. The rural elections were held in 621 zilla parishads and 6,157 panchayat samitis, besides in 31,827 gram panchayats.
Another analyst Amol Mukherjee said "The results of the Panchayat elections indicate that AITC is not only the ruling party in Bengal, it is also the most dominant political force".
Whereas in Gram Panchayats (GPs), TMC got good competition from the BJP.
"We have received a complaint and are looking into it", Nadia district magistrate Sumit Gupta said.

In West Bengal's Bhangar, which has been on the boil for the a year ago over the state government's construction of a power grid sub-station, Independent candidates backed by Jomi-Jibika-Bastutantra O Poribesh Rokkha Committee (committee for protecting life, livelihood, ecology and environment) won five out of the eight Gram Panchayat seats wherever voting took place. The TMC supporters and leaders were killed in both intra and inter-party feuds and there were instances of lynching of ruling party supporters when they went for booth capturing. The West Bengal Panchayat Elections 2018 were held on Monday (May 14). Responding on the results, Mamata Banerjee said, "TMC has emerged victorious in 90% seats despite the opposition parties coming together". BJP is now in the 2 position with 9 seats, Independent candidates are in the 3 with the leading in 11 seats.
In case of West Midnapore, out of 665 seats, the TMC is ahead in 608, BJP in 42 and the Left in 3. As many as 26 independent candidates won in Singur, where the aborted small auto factory is still a simmering issue, many of them dissidents who distanced themselves from the Trinamool Congress and took on their former political bosses.
According to the various reports, 34 percent of the seats were won by the ruling party candidates uncontested. A total of 622 zilla parishad seats were contested on May 14 across 17 districts of the state.
"Despite so much violence, we have won more than 5,000 seats in GP (gram panchayat)".
The Central government on Wednesday again sought a report from the West Bengal government over the violence during panchayat elections in the state earlier this week that left at least 10 dead.
The TMC, on the other hand, said the people of Bengal had voted in favour of development ushered in by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
