Barcelona have emphatically ended Manchester United's hopes of signing defender Samuel Umtiti by inserting an eye-watering release clause in his newly signed contract extension, according to reports.
It's expected to be around the €500m mark, which would be the same as the buyout clauses included in the new deals signed by Sergi Roberto and Gerard Pique earlier this year.
The French centre-back initially joined Barcelona in 2016 and quickly became a key part of the club's defence over the past two years.
