So far, the focus for Tesla in 2018 has been on the Model 3 and improving production.
Elon Musk expressed confidence about Tesla achieving the next production goal for its crucial Model 3, predicting that manufacturing will become a strength for the electric auto maker over time.
He was wearing one at the automaker's annual shareholder meeting on Tuesday, when an audience member asked if Tesla had ever considered getting into the electric motorcycle business, which Harley-Davidson is about to enter.
But the company added that "production bottlenecks" had left it behind on its planned ramp-up for the Model 3. The stock was trading at $301.50 on Wednesday. Addressing the attendees of the meeting, Musk noted that Tesla's energy projects would only get bigger every year. "At a lot of other companies, they're built by marketing or the finance department and there's no soul". When it does debut, we can expect similar powertain options and a slightly higher price point than the Model 3.
"At Tesla we build our cars with love", Mr Musk said, visibly moved.

That summit, which will be hosted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau , will also mark Trump's first visit to Canada as president. The tariffs are also unlikely to force the Mexican government's hand, especially given current electoral dynamics.

A battery factory in China, in addition to expanding production, could allow Tesla to avoid import tariffs there. Robin Ren, head of world-wide sales, said it would be located in Shanghai.
