Instagram shared that it has reached one billion daily users on its main app. Anyone can be a creator - you can upload your own IGTV videos in the app or on the web to start your own channel. IGTV is a brand new social platform which is oriented towards bridging the "audiences closer to the creators they love". These tabs contain other recommended videos that are sorted in a number of different ways ('For You", "Following", "Popular', etc.) and you can swap between channels by touching any of the videos that you see on the screen. First of all, it'll start playing videos as soon as a person opens the app, just like a TV. You can also like, comment and send videos to friends in Direct.
Facebook-owned Instagram announced a new addition to its photo-sharing app on Wednesday: the ability to share long-form 4K videos a la YouTube. Smaller accounts will only be given 10-minute video limits, but Instagram did not specify the exact criteria for what qualifies an account for the longer video option.
