The brash and highly charged New Moon at 7 degrees Sagittarius takes place on Tuesday, November 29th (6:18 AM CST). This is one most people will feel coming. The New Moon will be conjunct fixed star Antares and in exact conjunction to soul mate asteroid Juno, square Neptune at 9 degrees Pisces and the North/South Nodes at 8 degrees Virgo/Pisces.

 

If you’re one of those folks who’ve felt recently that their adrenals and serotonin receptors simultaneously blew a fuse, you may as well prepare for this Sagittarius New Moon to work your last damn nerve. I’m not saying there’s no good news, but I am saying this one isn’t going to have the usual bouncy, buoyant feel typically associated with Sagittarius.

 

For one thing, at 7 degrees Sagittarius this cuts close to the degrees that were the biggest sources of stress this past year. For starters, that nasty Mars retrograde we experienced most of the summer kicked off at 8 degrees Sagittarius, conjunct the fixed star Antares. When Saturn went direct in late August conjunct Mars, they were both conjunct Antares. And, so is this Sagittarius New Moon. From a previous post:

 

Antares, or Anti-Ares, has a strange reputation in astrology. It is said to be a mixture of Mars and Jupiter energy; Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, so [this New Moon in Sagittarius] conjunct Antares will exacerbate the fixed stars reckless and even dangerous qualities. Antares was traditionally something of a malefic; associated with daredevils, rash leaders, battle, and even fatalities.  It does also lend a disctinct mental and philosophical toughness and bluntness.

 

The Sagittarius New Moon conjunct Antares brings a militaristic bravery and simultaneous recklessness feeling with it. Stay safe! Then, there’s the square to Neptune and the North Node. Neptune will be at 9 degrees Pisces, conjunct the South Node and still the same degree it stationed direct at on November 19th. Thus, still bogging down the psychosphere with emotional overload, confusion, gaslighting, weariness and an overall sense of being rudderless. A square is never an easy aspect, but this particular square between the aggressiveness of the New Moon conjunct Antares and the malaise of Neptune conjunct South Node in Pisces is a particularly challenging thing to handle. Lashing out at the wrong things or people are a distinct possibility. Fight the good fight, but make sure you’re right first!

 

Oh yeah, Neptune and the North/South Node are on/near the same degree as the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo we had back in September. So, there’s whiffs of most of the major story arcs experienced in 2016 coming up again here. From a previous post on the focus of the mutable signs in 2016:

 

The mutable signs keeping things vague, flaky and ever shifting as a way of examining various possibilities and examining potential outcomes…Self evaluation and questioning of the external world. Is want we want correct morally, spiritually? How big are the risks for pursuing particular paths? What are the risks for not pursuing them? How are we affected individually versus the affects on our family, community, country? Is what we’re doing hurtful or harmful to us in the long run financially, physically, emotionally? Are we moving in the right direction but with bad timing, bad advice or bad people? Are we going it alone when we ought to be enlisting others, and vice versa?

 

If that’s not enough, it gets weirder when we consider the exact conjunction this New Moon makes to soul mate asteroid Juno at 7 degrees Sagittarius. How can one experience a “soul mate” connection during such strange space weather? Well, strange times often make for strange bedfellows; as much as there seems to be a push for divisiveness in the world right now, the conjunction of militaristic Antares and soul mate-maker Juno at this New Moon looks like we need to remember we’re all in this together, and recommiting ourselves to fighting the good, righteous fights together rather than fighting each other. Could be strange bedfellows on the global scene, or “the enemy of my enemy is now my friend” scenarios. Stay vigilant.

 

On the personal level, there’s no reason to think some people can’t actually meet others who become pivotal players in our individual storylines here, so keep an open mind if you encounter someone you seem to have a “fated” feeling of connectedness to. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t consider “soul mates” to be marriage partners or even necessarily romantic partners as much as I consider it to be people who enter our lives to provoke growth at the soul level that we can’t or won’t accomplish alone.

But, man, do people need to try to laugh more right about now. Everyone’s going to be on their soapbox at this New Moon, if you can try to remove yourself from it and see the bigger picture, which is really what Sagittarius excels at.

 

 

Those of you with mutable planets or angles in your chart, or those who really took the biggest hits from Mars retrograde in Sagittarius and the September eclipses, will feel this Sagittarius New Moon the strongest.   1. Wow! That was concise and very sharp. Good thing that you’re a fire sign and were able to spot trouble. It seems like many people are going to get burnt. Everyone needs to watch out! We’ve found ourselves in a dangerous cosmic minefield. Though the degrees are not close, don’t think that Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Aries won’t try to to add fuel to the fire. Sagittarius has a way of instigating Aquarius and Aries. Aquarius for its own kicks and giggles and Aries just for foolishness of it all. With all three signs together it’s a jolly good time kicking up shit and knocking things around and down.
    You’ve said it all when one adds Antares into the mix.

    And Uranus at 4 degrees Sag too!

    How great that you include the point of the Solar Eclipse + Antares, Clarissa! I see so many astrologers who doesn’t take this spot into account, when a lot of what have happened in this year is due to the fact of many planets activating this point as well as Antares. Great one! 😉

    There are so many factors and influences in this new moon – the virgo eclipse saw me breaking up with a BF, moving back home again, and now I’m looking for jobs in my new place.

    Do you think I could expect some news/new possibilities in this area at this full moon? The eclipse sparked the opening of a “return” to my career possibilities (more jobs in this area) after a three year long period of living out karma eith this person. It changed my status from “in a relationship” to “single” (MC= status in the outer world).

    Also – my natal Mars, even locked in a moon-square, is at 8 degree Capricorn, which lends an ability to work for my goals to achieve my dreams 🙂 those dreams that are even “fated” one could say, now with the North node and Neptune in the mix…?!

    • On the MC there’s a distinct possibility of job news, wouldn’t hurt to do some follow up with employers leading up to this just to try to tip the scales to your favor. 🙂

      • Just an update – I went to this job interview on the Taurus Full Moon (my 2nd/3rd house) – and was called in for another interview yesterday on the 25th. They will return with an answer this Tuesday, ON THIS VERY DAY OF THE FULL MOON!!!

        I had this crazy feeling of “belonging” or “feeling at home” with them – at this place, and I really really want that job. Not for the money, not for the status – but because I feel a “calling” to it. Strange… well, with Juno here and my MC here… AND the North node and the eclipse trining my 11th house mars at 8 degrees Capricorn – I certainly hope for a positive result and a positive outcome on this interview thingy. What an excellent way to use these energies I think 🙂

            Not surprisingly, with all that mutable energy in the air, the job description suddenly changed and the tine frame as well, morphing it into a completely different position. Went to another job interview and got matched for a completely different job position here as well. Mutable energy… you gotta adopt!!

  10. I cried out with joy upon hearing the news of Fidel Castro’s death today. There is a party in the hearts of every Cuban expat living in the US today! What’s “working my last damn nerve” as you put it, is seeing just how many leaders and even regular people are honoring –Honoring!– that son of a bitch as some kind of hero to his people. God damn. The Saturn in Sagittarius lessons of hypocrisy just keep coming. I am trying to stay calm and enjoy the news of that Devil’s death while contemplating optimistic what it might mean to the future of my parents country.
